Research
Our faculty and students conduct research in traditional civil, environmental and construction disciplines, as well as in interdisciplinary and emerging technology fields. These efforts are balanced to satisfy specific research needs in Hawaii and the Pacific Region to contribute to the general advancement of science and engineering. The amount and breadth of research activities has been increasing steadily over the years as new faculty and research facilities have been added. All areas listed below have active research projects.

The WRRC is an organized center that conducts research dealing with all aspects of water resources, especially relating to Hawaii and The Pacific. WRRC faculty come from the Department of Civil, Environmental and Construction Engineering, as well as the departments of Geology & Geophysics, Economics, Botany and Microbiology.
