Department mourns the loss a beloved professor

It is with heavy hearts that we share the sad news of the passing of Dr. Horst Brandes, long-time geotechnical engineering faculty member in the CEE department. Horst was a friend and mentor to many and respected by students, staff and faculty. He will be sorely missed.  Please keep Horst and the Brandes ‘ohana in your prayers during this Holiday Season.
